Présentation
Je suis spécialiste de l’histoire des philosophies et des religions de l’Inde et du Tibet, et plus particulièrement du bouddhisme tibétain et de ses racines indiennes. Mes activités ont donné lieu à plusieurs collaborations d’envergure internationale dans des domaines tels que la philosophie indienne, les rapports sino-tibétains et l’histoire de la pensée et de l’art du Tibet (en particulier, les arts du livre). Parmi mes publications, Sources of Tibetan Tradition, rédigé en collaboration avec K. Schaeffer (Université de la Virginie) et G. Tuttle (Université de Columbia, New York), et publié en 2013 par les Columbia University Press, contient presque 200 extraits de la littérature tibétaine dans tous les domaines – histoire, politique, religion, poésie, ainsi que les œuvres techniques et scientifiques – et constitue une synthèse de grande envergure dans l’étude de la civilisation tibétaine.
