Directed by Rainier Lanselle

Presentation

Since I was an undergraduate, my studies have been focused on ancient Chinese fictions, including both literary fiction such as the Six Dynasties Zhiguai志怪and Tang Chuanqi传奇, as well as popular novels of the Ming and Qing dynasties. I have paid attention to « chivalry »侠 in classical fictions. For my master’s thesis, I focused on the phenomenon of the brutalization of Outlaws of the Marsh水浒传. At EPHE-PSL&CRCAO, my research direction is the interplay between late imperial vernacular fictions and rural areas.
