Directed by Olivier Venture

I completed my Master’s degree in Chinese Philology at Beijing Language and Culture University. The title of my dissertation is A Comparative Study of Current Research on Bronze Inscriptions Kept in the British Museum. This study attempts to revise, update, and augment the current catalogue information and research of Chinese bronze inscriptions in the British Museum. Following my previous research, I will continue to explore Chinese bronzes collected in different museums in France.

By using the materials I have collected, I will focus on the evolution of inscriptional calligraphy style of Chu-System. The purpose of this study is to summarize the evolutionary rules of bronze inscriptions in different states influenced by state of Chu and analyze reasons for these changes. It also involves the changing calligraphy style of state names on bronzes from Chu region.
