Presentation

For several years I have taught Tibetan language, history and literature at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Oxford. My research areas are Tibetan political, religious and social history, and narrative (sgrung, chos ’byung, rnam thar) and ritual genres of premodern Tibetan literature. I have worked in particular on the Epic of Gesar and its associated cultural themes.

As a member of the Paris-based ERC project TibArmy (under the direction of Alice Travers) I have published two research articles and co-edited one of the project’s collective volumes. I continue to work for this project (until it ends in March 2023) alongside my own research.
