Presentation

My research is centred on the documentation of all the archaeological sites in Ladakh. The purpose is to understand the diversity of material cultures that coexisted and succeeded one another in the region, their chronology, and the evolution of their territorial extensions and overlaps

Research thematics

  • Systematic survey and documentation of the historical sites of Ladakh
  • Spatial analysis, study of the evolution of the ancient geography of Ladakh
  • Making of a series of volumes on the heritage of each of the six subregions of Ladakh, in collaboration with INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage)
  • Study of the cave Gachu Lhabrog in collaboration with Dr. Veena Mushrif-Tripathy (Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute, Pune)
