Presentation

As a legal scholar specializing in the history of law, my research focuses on the history of Chinese law and institutions, as well as the dissemination of administrative knowledge in East Asia and Central Asia during the Qing dynasty. I am interested in both the doctrinal foundations of Chinese law and how it was implemented daily by the imperial bureaucracy. My recent work has centered on the codification of law in China.
